Practicum for Research and
Development in Engineering Management

Description:
- Provides
students enrolled in the M.S in engineering management program with
significant educational and practical opportunities to participate
in the practice of research and/or development in the area
of engineering management as an integral part of the program curriculum.
- The specific content of the practicum
experience are written in a description agreed to by the student, the
employer, and the practicum director.
That description serves as the student’s essential employment job
description, as the student’s practicum course curriculum, and as the
basis for faculty evaluation of the student’s performance at the end of
the experience.
- At most six ENMA 294 credits may be
counted toward graduation.
- Course credits vary
from 1 to 6 per semester, as determined by the student, the student’s
employer, and the practicum course director.
Requirements:
- Students who
plan to take this course must follow the Purpose and Guidelines
available from the practicum course director.
- With the aid of
their faculty advisor, students are required to prepare a practicum
experience description which includes an employment assignment
description, specific course deliverables, and student and course
assessment plans and criteria.
Prerequisites:
- Students must achieve at least a 3.00
MU Q.P.A.
- Students must have completed at least
twenty one credits in MS-engineering management program.
- Student s must meet all of the requirements to take
this course as stated in the Graduate Bulletin and the Purpose and
Guidelines for this course.
